Clark graduated as a Religion major from Olivet Nazarene University and from Nazarene Theological Seminary. Clark and Connie pastored three churches in the Kansas City area before going to teach at Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in the Philippines, September, 2013. His churches have planted or sponsored eleven new churches while he was pastoring. He has held many district, regional, and general responsibilities during these years as well.
Clark had been a professor through the Nazarene Bible College Extension from 1989—2010 while pastoring. In 2010, he received his Doctorate in Education from the University of Kansas. At APNTS, his title was Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministries. Clark was also the Founding Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program.
Clark is married to Connie and they have three grown children and four grandchildren: Scott (Emily) and children, Elijah and Sydney, who serve as missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene on the South America Region; Tim who is a Navy veteran and lives in the Columbia, MO area; and Ashley (Andy Weber) who both are public school teachers in Olathe where they live with their sons Keaton and Bodie.
Clark and Connie returned from the mission field in 2019 and became the pastors in Marshall, MO. Clark continued as a faculty member and D. Min. Director for APNTS through October 1, 2023 and still teaches some for APNTS. While pastoring at Marshall, they have also planted two new Micronesian churches for Pacific Islanders.
Recently in June 2025, Clark retired from pastoring in Marshall and has taken a part time ministry position with the Kansas City District Church of the Nazarene. His title is District Mentor and Love Your Neighbor Liaison (for 2027 General Assembly in Kansas City).
Clark is a longtime Royals season ticket holder, gathers sports collectibles, plays fantasy baseball, and has many other hobbies. He is a numismatist and writes poetry as a side passion. His favorite foods are Barbeque, Cheeseburgers, Fried Chicken, Italian Food, Mexican Food, basically groceries. He likes going for English Tea with Connie very much. He absolutely loves serving the Lord in ministry all the time in every way.
